Textile

Fast and sensitive drying methods have been developed for textile drying based mostly on Radio Frequency concept.

Considering the drying of dyed fibres and yarns, different technologies are available for this purpose: "conventional technologies", where the textile product is heated/dried in different ways by means of hot air blown onto or through it, or "radio frequency technologies", where the product is heated/dried in an endogenous way (directly from its core) by means of a suitably generated electromagnetic field. In comparison with traditional methods, the Radio Frequency (RF) drying requires significantly lower processing temperature inmproving the product quality and durability. Fireproofing properties can be also improved for certain materials. .

RF drying offers consistently higher standards of product quality and opens the way to the rationalisation of the whole production cycle. In addition, there is a marked reduction in the handling requirement, both before and after the drying operation.
These advantages are specific to Radio Frequency drying and can be directly attributed to the particular phenomenon of RF heating.
